It's the most expensive model I've tried, but it also has the most features. Its sleek angular design is striking and only has three physical buttons. The power button, which also restarts the cleaning process, a mop button that doubles up as a child-lock and a home button to bring the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be opened to reveal a 350ml dustbin and 200ml tank of water. The water tank self-empties, and the bin is auto-refilling.
The only issue I encountered in this model was the VibraRise mop pads mount is not removable. You can replace the mopping cloth if required, but it's not easy to remove the mount for manual washing. I've noticed that any carpet that the robot crosses will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on mount, which can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a variety of clever features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can configure and manage these through the Roborock app that is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app also lets you to schedule cleanings and monitor the battery life and maintain your components. However, you'll need to jump through a few hoops in order to enable voice control on this model which is a pity considering the quality of its performance.
3. Dreame X40
